Prostate Health PSA Test (1 Test)

The PROSTA-Check PSA test is a simple finger-prick blood test that will tell you in 10 minutes whether your prostate specific antigen (PSA) level is high or normal.

To use your test, you will need to use the single-use finger pricker supplied to obtain a blood sample and apply to the lateral flow test cassette.

- one line means a negative result

- two lines means a positive result

The Prosta-Check test shows whether your PSA level is higher or lower than 4ng/mL and has been shown to have an overall agreement with laboratory tests of more than 87%.

In the UK, PSA tests are offered to asymptomatic men over the age of 50, following a discussion of the limitations of testing for PSA. Although an elevated level of PSA may be associated with prostate cancer, there can be more common reasons for higher than normal levels of PSA in your blood, such as a urine infection. If you have a positive result, speak with your doctor who will discuss your clinical history and offer further tests to identify why your PSA level is higher than normal.
