The PYLORI-Screen test is a simple finger-prick blood test that will tell you in 10 minutes whether you have or recently had an infection with a bacterium called Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori).
Results in 10 minutes.
To use your test, you will need to use the single-use finger pricker supplied to obtain a blood sample and apply to the lateral flow test cassette followed.
- one line means a negative result
- two lines means a positive result
The PYLORI-Screen test shows whether there are detectable levels of antibodies in your blood that react with H. pylori and has been shown to have an overall agreement with laboratory tests of more than 93%.
An elevated level of antibodies that react with H.pylori is associated with stomach ulcers and can be treated with a combination of antibiotics from your doctor.
