FERRI-Check is a finger-prick blood spot self-test to check for iron deficiency anaemia which is often detected by measuring the levels of a protein called ferritin.

Symptoms of iron deficiency anaemia can include;

  • tiredness and lack of energy
  • shortness of breath
  • noticeable heartbeats (heart palpitations)
  • pale skin

This test has been used for over ten years by healthcare professionals and has an overall agreement of 98% with laboratory reference methods.

The result is read from a lateral flow test device after 10 minutes.

- one line means that your ferritin level is low and you could have iron deficiency anaemia
