The MENO-Check test is a simple and reliable 10 minute urine test kit that shows whether your FSH level is normal or high. Increased levels of FSH are found in women during the menopause.

To use your test, simply hold the absorbent tip of the device in a stream of urine. The results are interpreted by comparing the intensity of the test line (your result) with the control line on the device.The MENO-Check test shows whether your FSH level is higher or lower than 25mIU/mL and has been shown to have an overall agreement with laboratory tests of more than 92%.

Two tests are included to be used a week later and only if both tests are positive should you consider menopause.

The levels of FSH in urine and blood can fluctuate widely in women over 45 years old, which means there is a risk that you might not know whether you have reached the menopause or not. In most women over 45 years your doctor should be able to advise based on your clinical history alone. An FSH test should only be used to help diagnose menopause in women aged 40 to 45 years with menopausal symptoms, including a change in their menstrual cycle, or, in women aged under 40 years in whom menopause is suspected.

You must not stop using contraception on the basis of an FSH result. Speak with your doctor before making any changes to your lifestyle or medication.
